Candice Malone

Candice graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019 with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S.A. in Biology. There, she had a wide array of research experiences ranging from algal biotechnology to behavioral neuroscience. She completed a senior thesis that focused on the role of serotonin agonists and antagonists on the development of aggression in Golden Hamsters. Her research interests center on the neural changes that occur alongside major social transitions, including pair bond establishment in the monogamous California mouse. In her free time, she enjoys cuddling on the couch with her dog, Ziggy, and starting (but rarely finishing) numerous charcoal drawings.
